Backgrounds with a Twist

I participated in a swap where we each made 4 backgrounds and sent them in to be swapped out and then we got 4 different ones back to create atc's out of. These are the finished products from the backgrounds I received. This was fun since you didn't know what type of backgrounds you would get.

For this one I did not know how the background was made so when I saw the great pink, red white combo of it I immediately thought of my flowers stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations that I just got. I stamped with my Versafine and noticed it wasn't drying so I put on some clear embossing and zapped it with my heat gun. Only not only did the embossing melt but the background started to also. It started to look kind of creamy and when I stopped the heat and it dried it appears to be waxy. Still no idea what the background was but I liked how it loked a bit muted now. I added a button center and tied off with some CTMH Waxy Flax. And the Thanks charm tag I had on hand also not sure from where and attached it with a brad from my misc. collection.

For this one I had received the fabulous green and white wax paper resist background. I stamped my Viva Las Vegas Bamboo on it and cut it out and then just did a series of matting with black cardstock from The Paper Place in Wellington, OH. I then added a charm I had on hand (probably from Bits'nPieces- one of my favorite places to shop!) and used some CTMH Waxy Flax to tie off on the top of the charm.
