Simple Birthday Card

This is a pretty simple birthday card I made earlier this month. I used my Marvy scalloped circle punch and edged it with my Reflection Blue Palette Ink Pad. Then I cut a pink circle to layer inside with my Paper Shapers circle punch and edged it with the Reflection Blue Palette Ink Pad and stamped the sentiment (Oh Yeah Stamp Set from TAC) in the center of the circle then layered it on the scalloped circle. The ribbon is a scrap I had laying around that I just wrapped around the flowered paper (which is actually the front of a store bought card someone sent me LOL) and knotted to the side of the layered circles. I then added it all to my base, paper from the Paper Place, Wellington, OH. Hope the recipient enjoys it!

Beachy Rolodex

This is the Rolodex card I made for this month's theme of Fun In The Sun!

On the top half of the card I used a cotton ball and Blue Designer Chalks to make a sky. I then used my die cut to make a sun to add which I also used a cotton ball to apply a bit of Orange Designer Chalk to them for a little more "pop". I used pieces of pop dot to affix them to the cardstock. Then I tore a piece of wallpaper I found in the junk drawer (you know y'all have one of them too!) for a sand like appearance, added some seashell stickers I had and then used my Brother label maker to do the word "beach" and layer on. The quote from Calvin was added to the card using pop dots also. Not a hard one but I am pleased with how they turned out. I sure hope the others in this swap are enjoying my shares as much as I am enjoying theirs!

Christmas In July

Well some are saying it is too hot out and already dreaming of Christmas - NOT ME THOUGH!
One of my groups is having a Non Traditional Color Christmas Card swap so I made this pink, black and white one. The stamp is a hostess set form the NEW TAC catalog which I absolutely have fallen in love with and will be using for more of my Christmas cards this year. I stamped him with the Palette Noir ink and then punched out with my scalloped oval. I colored using my watercolor crayons and my blender pen. Then mounted him atop the sheer pink ribbon on the card. The rest was simply layers with a bit of one torn to reveal the sentiment "Happy Holidays" at the bottom.

Does anyone read these posts?

If you are here let me know - feedback is always appreciated too - not just that's nice but if something struck you as really neat or if you think something just doesn't work let me know too - how else can I improve? :)

2nd Rolodex in the series

This is the second Rolodex card I made for our swap - the theme was Red, White & Blue. I had these great button type things to use up and I love my America the Beautiful stamp from Printworks. This was a fun one to do and I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with! This is going to be a nice gift once it is all put together. Now if I can only find a holder for them all!

Another Castaway Card

This is another Castaway card I made. This one on blue paper and mounted on red with red flowers stamped on it too. Inside is the quote on the stamp pictured. I really liked how the castaway worked on this paper. I will be playing with it more in the future!
