Thank You "Partridge"

I have been lax in posting to this blog and I am hoping to work to do better at that. Not really a resolution but something I just want to do better at.

Anyway on to the card.

I made the background paper with my new Alcohol Inks that came from a partner swap for the holiday's! They are the Tim Holtz Adirondack Cabin Cupboard Collection. The paper is glossy white from Hollo's in Brunswick, OH. One of the cool things about using the Alcohol inks is that all the cards are a little different even if you are assembly line building multiples. No two backgrounds are ever the same!

I stamped the TAC Partridge image onto the background piece with my Black Noir Palete Inkpad. I also stamped from my TAC Rose Sentiments Set the Thank You phrase. Then I used my Noir pad to edge my sides for a little definition. I didn't think it quite looked right so I took my pear image (I can't recall who it is from - sorry) and using my Charcoal Palette Inkpad stamped images over everything. I was thinking along the lines of thank you for my Partridge in the Pear Tree LOL as I will be using these for some Christmas Thank You's as well as a swap. I added copper brads (Doodlebug Designs) to the corners and then matted onto dark brown cs (Hollo's) and then onto an orangish-cooper base A2 piece of cs (Hollo's).

I was pleased with how it turned out :) Hope you enjoy it too!

later..................
