I wanted to play with my new Doodlebug Design Jewels tonight so I was glancing through some sketch challenges and found one I could somewhat tailor to an atc without much problem. I started with an atc base that I edged with my Jardin Moss Palette Ink pad. Then using a piece of scrap plaid paper I found in green I cut to lay inside the rectangle of the base card but with 4 pieces not 2 just laying side by side and with a bit of the white base showing through. I then stamped the funky bug (from TAC was a past GWP) on another piece of white that I had also edged with my Jardin Moss Palette Ink Pad. I used my Blender Pen from SU and picked up some ink from my L'Amore Red Palette Ink Pad to color my funky bug in with. I also added a bit of stickled to him down the body and also in the lower wings where the circle and eye are at but the scan didn't pick it up to well :( I then had these little green clips I had found sitting on my work table. I put them on the side and then used my button shank cutter nipped off the piece that was sticking out. Finally time to use my Doodlebug jewels! LOL I lined 3 of them up side by side next to the clip piece along the top of the funky bug. I like how they turned out.
While walking in the parking lot after shopping at the Wal-Mart today my daughter commented that it smelled like Spring so I thought the green and bugs would be fun to play with! LOL you never know where some inspiration will come from!
Hope you enjoy!
