Yellow Rose

Again I was using my Copic Markers for coloring - can you tell I like them LOL!

This was made using paper from Hollo's an image I acquired somewhere along the way and dug out of my stamped images stash. I can't recall right at the moment who makes the saying stamp - sorry.

I used my Sunflower Palette Ink to edge the saying paper and the rest was colored with the Copics. The ribbon is a piece from ReallyReasonableRibbon - love her monthly club! You ought to check it out to get new fun, delicious ribbons to use each month!

Ok back to the card :) I used the "out of the box" technique to cut the flower image and then colored it in with the Copics, applying shading on the outer edges then using the lighter color to blend it a little on the rose and buds. For the leaves I did the exact opposite - colored the darker shade inside then used the lighter to blend it outward some. I like the leaves they really seemed to stand out when you look at it!

This was a pretty easy card but I think the colors are pretty striking and it turned out quite nicely. I used it for a treasure hunt swap - I hope my partner gets some enjoyment from it!
