Happy Birthday with Handmade Paper

I made this great birthday card for a friend using my new TAC stamps again :) I just love all the ones I got and am glad I am having a chance to put them all to use :) I used a scrap of green handmade paper with a leaf print on it to cover the top half of my white base card. I then used some of my polka dotted May arts ribbon to cover the edge of the paper and make it separate smoothly from the white background. The flower is another scrap of that which I used for the booklet pages I made for Mother's Day. This was the end of it here LOL! I used my scalloped punch to cut it but it wasn't quite right with one edge not scalloping (hmmm is that a word?) right. So I put it into the birthday stamped image and rounded off that corner with my SU corner rounder. I then cut the birthday stamped image out and mounted it on top of the card. Pretty simple but you know how that homemade paper just makes the cards super special without a lot of hoopla needed. I was very happy with how this one turned out and I know the recipient was also - she told me! LOL
Hope you all have a great day!
