Mother's Day Gift

I had a wonderful day yesterday - hope you all did also! I had been working on a gift for my mom so I finally put it all together yesterday before going off to dinner with my daughter and meeting her there also :) (yeah we took the men too LOL!)
I had recently ordered a set of scripture stamps from TAC and planned to use them for some cards I donate to the church but my mom seems to be having a tough time lately so I figured that the first inking should be something special you know!
Awhile back I found these badge holder covers and I tied them together with a piece of ribbon. They are the perfect size to hold an ATC so I used that to make a mini flip booklet for her to carry with her and whenever she is needing a boost she can look at it. Either for the verse or the art work or both! She really seemed to like it so I was glad I had come up with the idea.
The top photo is the cover and is made using a a large background stamp brayered with my rainbow ink pad and then I laid the paper on top and pressed it down. I cut a piece and added faux stitching with my Copic Spica Pink Glitter Pen to the edges and a mini pink butterfly brad I found in my stash! I stamped with another new TAC set I just got using Lavender Palette Ink.

The next page is again using that same background paper I stamped the verse over it with Palette Noir Ink and then layered it on purple and then onto green paper from Hollo's. The background paper is "notched" using the edge of my mini circle punch :) I also added another mini pink butterfly brad on the corner of the script portion. The background green paper I used the Palette Noir Ink on and my So Splattered stamps from TAC - I love that set!

This page is on pink, stamped the verse and then added ladybugs around the edges. I used the clippo which is part of my stash from Bits-n-Pieces.

This page was made using my scalloped oval punch. I stamped the verse on white paper and then punched it out. I decided to play on the word Stars from the quote so I used my Shine set from TAC and stamped 2 stars also on the white paper then I grabbed a Copic Marker in pale yellow (sorry don't remember which one it was) and colored the entire oval as well as the star body of the stars. Well I thought they looked a little silly with white faces and hair so I grabbed more Copics in flesh color and brown to color those in. I then cut them out and put them to the side of the verse which I had lined up top to bottom then cut the edge off flush with the base atc.

These are the first 4 that were in the mini booklet I gave my mom - I will share more tomorrow. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed making them and I hope Mom enjoys them also!

thanks for taking time to stop by today!

later.............................
