Sooooo... I have learned a few color tricks since doing this ATC but I still wanted to post it to show others a visual of what I try to describe :)
I found this stamped image in a box of images I had found when I cleaned that awful mess in my craft room :) I am sorry I don't know who it is by nor what it was stamped with nor even what ink was used - real helpful there aren't I ?!?!?! Sorry!
It was stamped on some semi-glossy paper and I wasn't sure how well the Copic ink would adhere to it but I figured what have I got to lose but a stamped image and a few minutes. I used a couple shades of purples on the flowers and I like how they turned out., the leaves also are good with I think 2 different shades of green.
It is the blue part that is the problem! You don't notice it as much in looking at it but the picture really shows it. The STREAKING! I colored it in as I went around the image but I was too slow and it was drying before I got the rest done. I read on the Copic blog that this occurs because welll basically you are too slow! The paper needs to be saturated and colored quickly in order to stay uniform. So next time I know to pick up my speed and get on with it LOL!.
I still liked it so I cut it out and around some of the flowers for a bit of an "Out of the Box" feel. I notched the corners off of the purple cardstock I had mounted it to with my SU circle punch and then I matted that all onto the ATC blank.
that's it!
Off to practice some coloring now!
