Pamela over at FireCrackerDesigns is having a blog candy contest so I decided to participate since I had my Mahalo set out on top of my craft table.
The challenge was to make an ATC, a Moo and an Inchie all from the same set.
For the ATC I used the larges of the stamps the tree line and stamped it onto glossy brayered card stock with my Staz-On ink. I trimmed it and double matted it with black and green card stock. Then I took the smaller sentiment stamp and stamped it onto a corner of the brayered card stock with Staz-On also. Using my corner rounded I rounded two offsetting ones and then popped it on with a small pop dot in the one corner.
For the Moo I used the same set and my Landscape Palette Ink to stamp a portion of the tree line. I didn't like how I had stamped it a little crooked so I used my Copic marker YG23 to fill in a little at the bottom and to darken it up a bit. I used my Seascape Palette Ink and a stipple brush to fill in for the sky, giving it some depth and also to edge around it. At the bottom I stamped with the Staz-On "escape" which is also part of the set.
For the Inchie - I wasn't sure what to do these aren't my favorite as they are so stinkin' tiny! But Pamela has an awesome leaf an flower in the Mahalo set that I thought would be cute floating on the water. So I made a water square LOL using my Seascape Palette Pad and rubbing it various ways across the square to get some variance and texture in the color. Then I stamped with my Landscape Palette Ink the smaller of the 2 leaves onto in the set onto white card stock and used my dark green watercolor crayon to color it. I cut it out with my Cutterbee's and attached it to the water square. Then I stamped the flower onto white card stock and colored it with my YR02 and R05 Copic markers. I cut it out and mounted it on top of the leaf.
Looks like it is floating to me :) What do you think?
Thanks Pamela for the challenge it was a fun one!
