This card came about because of the class I went to with my friend a couple Saturday's ago. We were talking about being brayer challenged - I STILL AM!!!!! and the guy who was demoing the Stampscape line gave us a few pointers. So yes when I got home I had to try it out :)
I brayered on glossy card stock with my Kaleidacolor Bouquet Pad to make the background. and it sat there looking and looking at me - hmmm what to do with it. Then this little doll with her shiny crown fell out of a small stack of papers I was moving and well I figured she would be a great addition to the brayered paper. I was reading my group mail on another list and came across this sketch that lent it self well to both the background and the image I had chosen.
The Magnolia image was sent to me by a friend from the same group the sketch came from and I colored her with my Prisma Watercolor pencils and used a blending stump and gamasol on this one to blend them. I the dipped the crown with Versamark and used Ancient Gold EP Enchanted Gold by Ranger to do the crown. I added some Stickles to make it more shimmery along with adding some to the wings and shoe buttons too. I finished the card off with some gingham ribbon and a piece of solid color card stock to match the base card. I thought the one space was a little empty so I added the Acrylic Cabochons to it also.
