Soldier's Letter

This soldier image is a one that makes me reflect and think how thankful I am for the men and women who give their time and sometimes lives to protect and serve everyone. I know they do miss their family back home and I am thankful that I am able to donate cards for some of them to use to send back letters to their loved ones. If you know someone who is in need of blank cards they can write in email me so I can see if I can put together a package to send to them. I am always willing to help when I can.

I colored the soldier with Copic Markers E71, E00, E31, BV23 and YG63. I added some brads to the front from Deja Views Global Views WLD-165 multi pack. I am not sure who makes this stamp as it was one in my Stamped images stash that I pulled out. I think it is in a set with the Godspeed too but not 100% positive. The edges of the torn out image are brushed with my Cognac Palette Ink to give it a bit of a worn look. I also used a stipple brush and dabbed it around on the top of the image too so it wasn't so stark white. The layering paper is from Hollo's and The Paper Place as is the base card stock.

Please take time to thank a soldier and their family for all they give for us! Tonight is fireworks in my small town and I think of it as a colorful show of gratitude for their bravery.
