Another wonderful sketch from Michele at Crafts4Eternity Challenge Blog! Since I had just received a package from Michele I decided to go with one of the images she had stamped off for me :) It also was raining here when I made the card so I was in the puddle stomping mood LOL!

I colored her with my Copic markers using several different purples, added some Spica purple glitter to parts also. (I know it is hard to see in the photo- just how do you photo glittery effects anyway?!?!?!) I used some very light blue for the water and then edged everything with warm gray. I decided that the umbrella lent itself nicely to the "out of the box" cutting technique so I cut 2 sides that way to give more depth to it. The DCWV paper with the flowers fit perfectly as I know I am looking very closely for Spring to arrive! Since she looks like she is waving a bit I thought the mini hi there from one of my new TAC sets worked perfectly.

Enjoy!

Sketch Take 2
I had made this card first but then thought it wasn't really fitting the sketch so nicely but the more I look at it I really do like it - subbed in the ribbon for the text and also laid it under the main image instead of atop. Sketches are like that you know you can take liberties - they are the starting point but assembling all the elements is up to you and how the images and papers speak to you determines the way they actually fall into place and get stuck together :) This image is also a new one from TAC and is stamped on some light green then colored in with various shades of Copic grays. I added dabs of green for the grass and then matched the flower to it also. The ribbon added a bit of shimmer that I liked and brought some of that to the top with using it as a knot in the flower center. The base card stock I ran the top through my cuttlebug and added the funky squares. The base card stock is also something new I am playing with from Paper Temptress and is called Gumdrop Green from the Pop Tones collection! I love this paper and can't wait to share more creations with you all using it! Go check out all her fun papers too she is having a great sale right now!
