TJ-Just One February

I was playing again with the TJ technique - Painted Mesh and used a bit of the background here behind my floral image. This really is a nice effect for using for matting images and using in small background areas. If you aren't a TJ'er yet check out Pat's site -link on the right side- it is worth the subscription for all the great info in one place and learning a little tip or trick each time she publishes a newsletter! You can also see a little of the coloring I did on this one too with orange and slight pinkish red colors.

Bits-N-Pieces is my favorite place for little doo-dads like this Oriental coin. Sad to say I haven't shopped there in awhile as I went crazy the last time and have lots left still LOL! I simply used a Copic marker to color my ribbont o match my card and tied it off through the top of the charm before adhering it to the card.

I also used another TJ technique on this card called pierced spotlight and you can see where I colored the floral image in. I really like the effect of this technique! I also decided to punch my Fiskars threading water punch along the bottom and then backed it with some white to tie in my main image. I liked the over all effect of this card and combining of techniques without it becoming over powering and too much for the eye to take in.

Hope my TJ partner likes it also :)

Don't forget too to check out the blog hop from FCD you can start here... there is candy at the end :) You have until Wednesday February, 25th at 8:00 PM EST to enter!
