I made this card using a set called So Far Away from FireCracker Deisgns by Pamela. I really like this set to use to send to the troops when I am mailing off care packages. I had also made some last time and included in a package I sent to a church and several of the ladies picked them out to send to their spouses who were serving and not home with them. T
he image is great as you can color or leave the uniform blank so it is very versatile for any service branch. On this card I used the Triple Play Tutorial from TJ newsletter. However, I wanted it to be able to be used to write in so I added the cream colored paper and it opens up to reveal a slightly smaller cream layer where one can write a note on . The edges are distressed with my Heidi Swapp tool and I like the rugged look it gives the card.
The green/black paper is actually a piece of the Black Magic colored core paper I got - I don't really know why they say it is a colored core as one side is the color and one side is black. Isn't "core" meaning inside? Oh well - I like the paper and thought it would work well for this card being the green matched the color I got when using my Prisma Color WaterColor pencils and blending them with my SU blender pen :)

Oh, I like this, Karyn! Great image!
Fabulous card and perfect for the troops, I'm sure your cards mean alot to them. I have my little package sitting ready to post off to my son, I know he loves to see what goodies I've sent for them. Take care. Donna x
