Post It Holder

When my DT package from Elemental Doodles arrived this month I was excited to see some coasters in there! It is going to be a new product they are carrying and I knew I wanted to show a sample of something you can do with them!

For this Post-It notepad holder I used 2 of the 4x4 square coasters.
1 piece of heavy card stock that measured 4" x 8 5/8" which I backed with a piece of lighter patterned paper from a stack I acquired at Joann's a LONG time ago LOL! ( I used my Tombow glue to attach the 2 pieces together. Then I scored it using my Scor-Pal at 4" in on each side. I also rounded all the corners to match the coasters.
I cut a length of ribbon to use as a "holder" for a pen. Using a sticky dot I put the ribbon in the center leaving an open loop for the writing utensil to slide through. (I probably should of made my loop smaller - have a pen handy to test it before adhering everything tightly!)
I adhered one of the coasters (the bottom) to the inside of the heavy card stock piece I had scored with red line tape, this also helped to keep the ribbon in place. The top coaster I decorated with some of the same outer patterned paper and a strip of white that I had stamped with the ink spot from the new Just a Note set. I then added some more of the same ribbon across to blend where the papers intersected. (you can see better in the photo what I mean LOL!) this also kept the opposite side of ribbon in place and left the loop open in the center for the writing utensil you plan to place inside.

Before I adhered the Post-It note I added more ink spots with the stamp from the Just a Note set and then using red line tape again I adhered the Post-it notes inside.

For the front cover I stamped and trimmed out a writing quill and also the ink bottle with coordinating Palette Ink and then adhered them with sticky dots. I decided to stamp the "Just a Note" and add it to the upper corner to finish it off. This will be a nice sturdy holder that can slip into a purse for someone to use. it won't end up that crumpled piece of paper we all seem to be able to dig out of our purses! LOL.

Please not the directions were some I found online, measurements are what I used however since papers vary you may find it necessary to alter your measurements and/or trim once you start assembling to get the results you desire.

hugs,
