Stamp Something Sketch Challenge

Wow 2 posts in one day - you all count yourself special now ok!
I wanted to say to my regular readers and commenters - don't forget that I will draw for a little something at the end of the month and send it out to one of you :) I appreciate all your lovely comments and feedback too. So many times I want to answer you something but the email comments come to me with the noreply@blogger address so I can't respond :( Please know I read each and every one and I very much appreciate them.

Someone suggested I get one of those sidebar things where comments/questions can be answered - I will have to look into that and then I can answer there too...might be a great idea!

Ok so now onto the art!

Stamp Something Sketch Challenge this week is a sketch designed by
past Stamp Something designer Emily Weems!

I couldn't help playing with this funny monkey today he made me grin :) I stamped him while I was in WI with Anna and just got around to coloring him this AM before heading to work. Isn't he cute! Anyway I hope you like my take on the sketch this week.

Technique used was the TJ Double Bugging on the white with lines and circles. Rest is layering and coloring was done with Prisma Watercolor Pencils and my SU Blender Pen. Ribbon is just a scrap left on one of the paper wheels, sorry I don't know who by. I used a chipboard balloon colored it with my copic marker, used a Sakura glaze pen on top to give it some shimmer, hit it with my heat gun a bit which made it bubble some and get some texture, pretty cool! Added a bit of Scrappers Floss to it to make it look like it was tied on a string.

The sidebar thing to post and answer questions is called a cbox.
http://cbox.ws

I had one on my blog, but no one ever asked me a question and I had it up for over a month, so I took it down - but it is really a cool idea!
