Message In A Bottle

This cute bottle uses stamps from Artful Inkables A Friendly Light and Wedding Silhouettes stamp sets. The bottle is from my pin back that I bought at Gary Burlin's a lonnnnngggggg time ago LOL I just thought with it's cute push in wooden top it would make a cute "floating" bottle for my message to go in.

I cut a piece of cream paper to size and then stamped on it with my Burnt Umber and Cognac Palette Ink pads. I used red line tape and adhered it to the bottle. I then took my sanding block and sanded the edges to distress it a bit, giving it the worn, I've been floating in the water look. Inside I dropped the "weathered" paper that says "Whatever souls are made of, yours and mine are the same. ~ Emily Bronte" I also added a few dew drops to it. I pushed the top back on and decided to add a piece of scrappers floss and a sand dollar around the neck of the bottle. For a finishing touch I added small Basic Grey pearls at various intervals on the outside of the bottle - you know to be like little barnacles :)

Enjoy!

hugs,

P.S.
Don't forget the DT call going on right now!
