ok remember I said I was evaluating the different coloring methods with the digital images the other night well here is another image this time from Digi Shack. This monster made me giggle with hig tongue hanging out and running like he was lit on fire! LOL
This image also was printed on the vellum (you know you have to fill the sheet you can't just print one image and waste so much of it). I colored it with Crayola Metallic pencils. It is pretty but not very vibrant, the colors are kinda dull on the vellum and not as sparkly as I had hoped. The printer ink didn't seem to play much with the Crayola's except on his fists where I colored over the lines and then they seemed to fade BUT that could very well be that there is just some pencil color on them not that ink rubbed off.
The background was made using a technique I learned from the stamp convention I liked the contrast of land to "freaky" sky color that it made for using with the batty paper from basic Grey's Eerie line. More about the technique will come in another post :)
I tore the edge cause he is outta here and wanted to give the appearance of hurrying - make sense? I also cut one bat out from the scraps left over and added it to the freaky sky to bring the two layers together.
I finished the inside off like this:

Digital Image - Digi Shack
Background Inspiration - Seaside Stampin Ink, Alcohol Inks
Paper: Basic Grey Eerie line, Seaside Stampin Ink Glossy and Hollo's
Sentiment Stamp - Target $1 bin

That is a cute card. I haven't tried digi images yet, but I have a few saved for when I feel brave.
