Tickled Pink

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month so I figured starting off the challenges with the color Pink was suiting. I made a card here with the Women in Character set from FCD. I think the lady looks a bit like she is carefree and happy letting her scarf dance about. It is hard to be carefree and happy when you are facing Breast Cancer (any cancer really) so I am going to be sending this to a friend to cheer her up and let her know we are fighting with her.

I saw when I opened my email today the Stamp Something Challenge which happened to be

Brown Plus Something

so I went with it :) The ribbon I had received on a SwapBot package and I liked the bold pattern because one has to be bold to fight this disease! I also had some great flower shaped brads I pulled out to use. I used the Tickled Pink stamp from the same set to randomly stamp the top half of the card after applying the strips of ribbon across the bottom. I know the catch phrase is really Think Pink but I like Tickled Pink (plus that was what I had LOL!) I stamped then colored in the image with my Copics. Used a bit of pop dot adhesive to mount it to the top of the card. I picked it up and off fell the brads I had laid on it LOL! SO I snipped the bendy part off the back and adhered them with glue dots.

If you know someone fighting this disease be there for them, support them however you can. Even getting Happy & Upbeat notes and cards make the difficult days a little better!
