I love the 2 Sketches 4 You blog and often participate/ follow along with one of the sketches but I FAIL miserably at getting them uploaded in time!
This card is made based on Kazan’s Sketch 40.
I remembered that I had bought these cool clips at the office store one day they were really cheap! They are kind of large so I try to only use them on hand delivered cards or ones going into packages but then sometimes like now they just yell from that drawer that they want out so I dug this one out to use on the card.
I added little coils of wire to the ends to make it a bit more festive looking too! I used my stylus and coiled the wire tightly around the metal end then snipped it and stretched it out to get these funky stretched coils to add to my card. Fun!
The paper is from several places. Hollo’s for the stamped image layer and the blue layer that was cut with my Fiskars paper edger, Gina K Pure Luxury 120 lb weight for the card base, CTMH for the green layer and Basic Grey’s Eskimo Kisses line is the patterned paper on the top. I added some great sparkly pink ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and then decided that the Doodle Factory birds needed a bit of sparkle too so colored over them with my Spica clear pen.
It is snowing out there again now and I should be working on getting the last few cards assembled that I need for a gift but I have a block and can’t get past the colors to think what to do with it, what image to use so I am hoping a break might help!
hugs,
