Our theme this month was Romantic Lyrics. I had no clue what I was going to do… I know Valentines Day was just past I should of been in the romantic mood already right?!?!?! Should of been easy right?!?!?!

Not so!!!

I was just sitting at the craft table looking at things and decided ‘whatever’ I am just going to make a card and after I was done this song just popped into my head :) You can click the title below for the link to an audio of it (upper right hand side of the page that loads) or I have copied and pasted the lyrics below for you to read.

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You ~ James Taylor

“How sweet it is to be loved by you
How sweet it is to be loved by you
I needed the shelter of someone's arms, and there you were
I needed someone to understand my ups and downs, and there you were
With sweet love and devotion
Deeply touching my emotion
I want to stop and thank you baby
I want to stop and thank you baby
How sweet it is to be loved by you
How sweet it is to be loved by you
I close my eyes at night
Wondering where would I be without you in my life
Everything I did was just a bore
Everywhere I went it seems I'd been there before
But you brighten up for me all of my days
With a love so sweet in so many ways
I want to stop and thank you baby
I just want to stop and thank you baby
How sweet it is to be loved by you
How sweet it is to be loved by you
You were better to me than I was to myself
For me, there's you and there ain't nobody else
I want to stop and thank you baby
I just want to stop and thank you baby
How sweet it is to be loved by you
How sweet it is to be loved by you”

How Sweet of You

This used Pamela’s new set Got Chocolate? I really like the versatility of this set. For the card I used the sentiment and the truffles, hmmm what flavor are they I wonder? I colored them with copic markers (E33 & E37) and used one on the patterned paper and the other I pop dotted up from the frame over the words that was also pop dotted up from the base card. I added a touch of polka dot ribbon and then some white fuzzy brads to the corners of the frame. The paper was just a scrap I had in my stash I am not sure where it is from but I thought the snowflakes were appropriate since we have an abundance of them of late!

Remember FCD does “circular blog hops” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)

There will be blog candy and the winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess when the hop is over…so you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!

**Winner will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) or you can also find out on Pamela’s blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**

Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to Pamela’s blog and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

hugs,

Signature

Great take on the challenge! Totally Sweet! I'll come back and listen to this song later from work (tehee), since it's new to me, but the lyrics sounds great and PERFECT as inspiration for your fab card!

Love James Taylor! This is such a great song with such a HUGE message. Your card is amazing! It has the simple beauty that sometimes we forget about. Sometimes we get all caught up in our cards and add and add until they are too heavy to even put in the mail. Thank you so much for being a part of this hop. Thanks also for printing the words to this song.
